Biography
Corella are a Manchester-formed quartet making their mark with uplifting, anthemic songs built to unite crowds. Frontman Joel, bassist/vocalist Ben, guitarist Jack and drummer James met in their first year of university, bonding over a shared love of indie and classic rock.
Since then, they’ve built a loyal following through high-energy live shows and singles such as Don’t Stop Me, which landed on BBC Radio 1. Their debut EP Today, Tomorrow, Whenever (2022) reflected the different moods of lockdown and set the stage for their upcoming debut album Once Upon a Weekend.
Written while holding down full-time jobs but playing to 1,000-strong venues at weekends, the record explores the balance between responsibility and dream-chasing. Produced by Sugarhouse, it bursts with both euphoria (Laidback, Say You Wanna) and emotional depth (Lady Messiah, inspired by the passing of Joel’s aunt; Hometown, a heartfelt tribute to their roots).
With their biggest headline tour yet on the horizon, Corella are stepping into a new chapter — one driven by friendship, honesty, and songs that connect on a grand scale.
